Industrial Strains of Hemp don't get you high either, but you go-ahead and try to grow a couple dozen plants in Texas and let me know what happens.

They are already in your garden.

Rob, believe me I don't particularly like regulation of any sort but having lived through the 50's, 60's, 70's 80's til now this in hardly the sky falling nor is this recession/depression.  It's amazing how we go on so many times after the end of the world.

Is anyone familiar with this? http://www.gazetteonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090228/BUSINESS/702289950/1007

It would appear that there is a provision in the "Clean Air Act" that the EPA is planning on enforcing on the farmers to keep the dust down when they harvest thier crops.

I wonder how long it will be before they come after the homesteaders and gardeners with thier garden tillers?

That does seem to be the new Conservative Mantra, ala Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. "It is not really that bad, Obama is fear mongering to get his socialist programs passed", etc.

Then I take a look at the facts 12,000,000.00 Un-employed, stocks down by 50%, credit disappeared, trillions in bailouts, millions of foreclosures, residential home values in free fall, commercial real-estate teetering on the edge, homeless cities springing up in San Diego.

You can say its fear mongering if you want. I pulled my head out of the sand two years ago, if I remember people were calling me Henny Penny back then. When Bruce said the Stock Market would go to around 4,000 at the time it was at 11,500, if memory serves you all guffawed then as-well. I keep saying it. This is the real deal. Don’t pay your credit card bill take the couple hundred bucks and buy some food.

If you don’t own the property you are on, you better have a fall back plan.

Google New Trends Alert From Gerald Clenete; this guy is not a wing nut he is main stream quoted in every major media outlet and has around a 90% accuracy rating. Do yourselves a favor and just read a few articles. You can’t say you were not warned.

You know Rob I was thinking a bit about that property issue.  Your right you should own your property you live on but what is the bank going to take all of them back and put people out in the streets when they cant pay for it...if it becomes really bad and very high unemployment?  Na there will be way tooo many houses that the banks will have to take back and too many places that they cant regulate wheather some one is there or not.

They did it last time. Do you think they are going to let you stay there for free?

No way Wash, they will kick you to the curb under threat.

That was back many many yrs ago.  I dont think they are going to be able to regulate a huge number of people dumped onto the streets.  Especially in AK.  I think if things get really bad they might let you stay for a low rent or something before they dump you out.  There will be just tooooo many houses empty and too many folks with out.  Im sure they would prefer having a place occupied vs having it open to being looted and distroyed... Im really at this time not worried about that.  Plan B  canvas tents...LOL

Having a place to grow a garden, get water with out elec, having wood to heat my house, yes those are things Im working on every day.
